When designing buildings in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit Architecture it is useful to know that the wall length you are designing matches brick sizes.

Computer Aided Business Systems wrote a small Windows application a while ago that helps you calculate wall lenghts/heights etc.
